What an unusual and busy week it has been for us here at Fearone LLC. First, received word from GM that Fearone would not be awarded a SEMA vehicle this year. Of course it was disappointing but then again with Bob Kern no longer at GM and with new management in charge, it seems GM is more back to old school way thinking and not so much moving ahead and pushing the envelope with SEMA builds. I woul...d think with the recent negative publicity, GM would like all the good PR they can get. But like all OEM companies Fearone will just adjust to their SEMA ideas next time around on our project proposal.
For the second news which was very rewarding and to be honest unexpected for Fearone, we were awarded a Hyundai Genesis for this year SEMA show based off a strong proposal. I especially like to thank Automotive Styles and Dean Designs who help pull this off in the short time we did to meet Hyundai's dead line. Now on to contacting sponsors and get a quick jump start on our build. This project with have very heavy PR from H.M.A. and of course on Fearone's end as well. I will say with Hyundai their company does like to push the envelope with SEMA builds, especially from the last couple of years.
Well all for now and will update of course as our Hyundai project moves along. In the mean time I have posted rendering on our website www.fearone.com. With H.M.A. already awarding this vehicle to us, I'm not so worried of a copy cat idea going to Hyundai. SEMA might be a different story, but then again all well that ends well....stay tuned.
